How do you get directly hired?

If you have consistent work history along with some factory experience, we will consider you for our upcoming Welder On-Site Training Session! Hiring you direct through the door, all Tenneco employees are eligible for full benefits and holiday pay beginning day 1. This training session is for 2nd shift employment.

SUMMARY:

MIG and TIG welding of fabricated tubing and accessories for automotive exhaust systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Additional duties may be assigned as needed.)

1. Routine maintenance of MIG and TIG welders.

2. Participate as a team member responsible for the welding operations that involve fabrication of finished goods.

3. Assist as necessary to relieve bottlenecks in manufacturing processes.

4. Be accountable for the cleanliness of welding areas.

5. Perform welding repairs as needed.

Education and/or Experience

1. Training is completed and Weld Test is passed.

Mathematical Skills

1. Ability to read tape measure.

2. Ability to read and understand calibrations.

3. Basic mathematical skills.

Reasoning Ability

1. The ability to function as a team member.

2. Willingness to take on team responsibilities.

1. Standing for an eight-hour (+) workday.

2. Occasional heavy lifting up to #35 may be required.
