Position Overview: The Welder / Inspector will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal weldments and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, and measuring tools. The ideal candidate will have experience in manual welding processes and a strong attention to detail.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret welding procedures to determine the appropriate welding techniques and specifications.
  • Perform various welding tasks, including MIG, and FCAW, using manual and automated techniques.
  • Operate welding equipment safely and effectively, ensuring compliance with company and industry safety standards.
  • Inspect welds for accuracy and quality, making necessary adjustments and repairs as needed.
  • Clean and prepare workpieces using various tools and equipment, such as grinders and wire brushes, to ensure proper welding surfaces.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, performing routine maintenance and repairs as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Keep detailed records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
  • Continuously strive to improve welding techniques and stay updated on industry trends and advancements.

Requirements:
  • Vocational or technical training in welding is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Welder.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and weld procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques and processes, including MIG, and FCAW.
  • Ability to operate welding equipment, including welders, cutters, and grinders, safely and effectively.
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds with minimal defects.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions, including kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Valid welding certification (e.g., AWS certification) is preferred.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following safety protocols and procedures.
