We are seeking skilled Alloy Pressure Welders to join our turnaround/shutdown projects for the 2024 season.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pressure welding on Inconel stainless and carbon materials.
- Work within the energy and petrochemical industry standards.
- Execute welding tasks as per project requirements and within set timelines.
- ASME Section IX certification or equivalent.
- Proficient with GTAW, SMAW, and GMAW welding processes.
- Prior experience welding Inconel stainless and carbon materials.
- Proven track record in the energy and petrochemical industry.
- Valid ASME Sec.IX or equivalent welding certifications.
- Successful completion of initial welding competencies as administered by ABSA, resulting in a C-pressure temporary certification.
- Ability to pass additional welding tests as required by the contractor, conducted by a company representative.
- Pressure Welders must demonstrate welding competency through specified tests:
- F3-F4 (Carbon) SMAW
- F6-F4 (Carbon) GTAW/SMAW
- F6-F5 (Stainless) GTAW/SMAW
- F4X/F4X (Inconel) GTAW/SMAW
- F4X (Inconel) GMAW
- F6 (Stainless) FCAW
- Acknowledgment of the possibility of contract termination upon failure to pass the weld test.
- An understanding of test failure criteria, including improper electrode use, exceeding weld cap reinforcement limits, and deviations from the procedure.
- Must pass a pre-access alcohol and drug test.
- Must have a valid passport with at least 6 months duration before expiration.
- Canadian work visa arrangements are covered, and work permit fees are reimbursed.
- Competitive wages.
- 6x12 shifts, with approximately 4 weeks per project.
- All accommodations, meals, safety training, and travel to/from the site from the nearest international airport are included.
