SUMMARY:
The purpose of this job is to weld fabricated pipe components; meeting product specifications and quality requirements by applying appropriate welding techniques.

- Mig & Tig welding, preferably AWS certified
- Ability to weld thin wall tube applications
- Experience welding 3 and 4 series stainless steel and carbon steel
- Welding spare parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead, etc.
- Clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, bolting, or grinding spare parts as necessary to satisfy the technical/quality requirements of a welded final product
- Control the processes of fitting, burning and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheat, distortion, expansion or shrink of parts
- Examining finished products and spare parts to verify that they meet specification requirements
- Being in charge of preparing and setting up necessary tools and equipment to weld
- Work within a team environment and train new welders as needed.
- Good mechanical knowledge. Ability to read blueprints is required.
- Could potentially come in contact with hazardous chemicals.

- Reports to: Team Leader
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.
Education and/or Experience:
Expected: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Minimum of two years related welding experience and/or training.
Preferred: 5 years production welding experience and AWS certification.
Communication Skills:
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
- Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to read and understand work instructions and safety procedures.
Other Skills:
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
