Job Summary:
- TIG welding
- 3rd shift 10p-6a
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply hard face filler material to nickel alloy turbine airfoils (blades & vanes) perform plug, lap or seal welds on turbine engine components. Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG).
- Machine Guarding Theory & Practical
- Compressed Gases & Cylinders
- Specialized training is required for this job. All weld operators undergo required training necessary to be certified to weld turbine parts. Upon the satisfactory completion of all the training requirements: Successfully passing Welding Examination and completion of a practical application of welding methods, the successful candidate shall receive a Certificate of Completion.
- To demonstrate competency, candidates for certification must achieve a minimum grade of 80% on the specific qualification examination. Candidates unable to achieve the acceptable grade shall receive additional training before attempting re-examination.
- For each part number and operation the candidate must weld two parts. The parts will then be analyzed for acceptability to our customer requirements. Upon acceptable results, the candidate will then be certified to perform production work on that part number and operation.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
- TIG Welding experience
- Basic computer skills needed
Additional Information:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
