The Superintendent assists in supervising all daily operations and activities in the division. Responsibilities include assisting with project management, helping prepare project estimates, scheduling of divisional employees and materials, keeping schedule of equipment parts and repairs, assisting with quality assurance of project surveys and quantities, ensuring safety protocols are implemented and followed throughout the division.

Covington LA
Plan and supervises activities- including determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, work schedules and ensures all necessary reporting requirements are met.
Maintains liaison with operations, engineering and estimating to ensure work complies with contract specifications, drawings and work schedule.
Ability to prepare project estimate quantities for bidding purposes. Able to perform and/or interpret survey data for estimate preparation.
Assists in overseeing equipment repairs and scheduling.
Manages and submits weekly payrolls, equipment utilization reports and requisitions for parts and materials.
Ensures that all on site personnel complies with project site procedures and Weeks Marine safety program. Documents all violations, notifies management and takes corrective actions as needed.
Project Quality Control- ensures that project specifications are being adhered too. Overseeing quality of work being performed on site. Direct involvement with the client and attending project meetings.
7-10 years of dredging or marine construction experience (preferred)
3+ years of supervisory experience is required
NCCCO card and heavy machinery skills are a plus
Proficient knowledge of equipment related to the Bucket Dredge and Marsh Buggy industry preferred
Acceptable knowledge of survey software and equipment, such as Hypack, Trimble, and Teledyne Odom preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is required
This position requires fluent use of the verbal and written language
