SUMMARY
Family Service League is seeking a full-time Weekend Supervisor for an emergency housing facility in Smithtown. The Weekend Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the shelter throughout the weekend. The Weekend Supervisor will provide leadership by directing services and support to all clients and working closely with the security staff to ensure the adherence to all shelter policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Weekend Supervisor will ensure effective shelter operations.
- On-call from Friday 5:00PM to Monday 9:00AM.
- Supervise all weekend shelter staff.
- Assist clients with intake procedures, admission requirements, and FSL policies and procedures.
- Oversee weekend client intakes and unit assignments with FSL staff.
- Oversee all client incidents and provide the necessary follow up, including notification, completion, and submission of incident reports to DSS and OTDA.
- Oversee unit inspections.
- The Weekend Supervisor will conduct curfew checks as necessary.
- Coordinate weekend staff scheduling with the Assistant Program Director, including covering shifts when needed.
- Monitor weekend programs and activities.
- Work collaboratively with the staff and security to maintain a safe shelter environment.
- Set and observe appropriate boundaries with clients; observe client confidentiality and HIPPA protocols.
- The Weekend Supervisor will advocate for the clients needs.
- Responsible for reading and understanding the policy and procedure manual.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience required.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of homeless population and DSS policies and regulations required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, required.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Valid and clean NYS Driver’s License required.
