Job Description:

Will be responsible for precision cutting of metal plates and structural shapes according to specified dimensions, contours, and bevels outlined in blueprints, layouts, work orders, and templates. Tasks include lifting, positioning, and securely clamping metal stock onto the machine bed, both manually and with the assistance of overhead or jib cranes. Must be proficient in selecting and installing plasma tips, as well as computing gas pressure and mixture, and determining the speed of cut based on metal type and thickness, using data charts, or referencing previous cuts. Should be capable of adjusting machine controls, either manually or through command inputs, to rectify malfunctions or deviations from tolerance specifications. Collaborates with supervisors or programming personnel to troubleshoot control media errors and resolve issues effectively. Additionally, the role involves material handling duties, which may require operating industrial forklifts.
