Weekend Pet Sitter: Madison

Dog walker and Pet Sitter needed!
Looking to hire one person in MADISON (part time, 6-16 hours a week) with weekend availability from roughly 4 pm to 9 pm on most Fridays and 1 pm to 9 pm on most Saturdays and Sundays.
Must be available most weekend evenings (not necessary to be available every weekend).
Requirements:

• Be able to walk dogs for 30+ minutes at a time
• Capable of handling all sizes of canines from small to large
• Have reliable transportation (your own vehicle) and a valid drivers license
• Have a smart phone
• Prior experience working with pets is preferred
• Compassion, patience, and reliability
• The ability to walk, pull, push, bend or reach
• The ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Comfortable caring for a variety of pets such as cats, dogs, fish, rabbits, birds, etc.
• Must be 18 or older
• Attention to detail is absolutely necessary

Experience at animal shelters, veterinarian offices, kennels and/or training facilities a plus but not necessary. We will provide Pet CPR training and basic pet behavior/knowledge training.
A background check will be conducted.
Responsibilities:

• Medication Administration - When needed, administer medications to pets via liquid, pill, etc.
• Exercise – Walk the clients’ dogs to provide exercise. Play with cats to exercise them.
• Care for Pets – Follow instructions to feed, water, and play with the pets. Communicate with the animals’ owners through our software and be aware and communicate any medical needs observed during your visit. Pick up after the animals including scooping litter boxes.

The amount of hours changes based on client need. Some weeks may be pretty busy especially around holidays and in the summer, and some may be slower when clients are not traveling.
Pay starts at $18/hour for Saturdays and Sundays ($16/hour Fridays or any other weeknights) plus tips and mileage reimbursement.
