Night Staff
(Friday-Sunday, 9pm-7am)
Position Summary: This is a part-time, non-exempt hourly position with primary responsibilities of manning the crisis line, providing effective services and support to clients, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the Shelter.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Abide by the Policies and Procedures
· Promptly review Turnover Notes from previous shifts and properly document additional notes throughout your shift to ensure communication between all staff members
· Promptly answer all hotline calls, ensure proper documentation in the call log and proper data entry into CaseWorthy
· Make themselves available to clients and children while on duty for support or assistance
· Promptly document services provided to clients and enter data into CaseWorthy
· When survivors need safe shelter after office hours, complete intakes for the entire family, arrange emergency transportation if necessary and ensure all immediate needs such as food, clothing, emotional support, etc. are met upon their arrival to the Shelter
· Ensure rooms are ready for the clients entering the Shelter and immediate needs are met
· Responsible for managing the Shelter and its operation during assigned working hours
· Contact designated on-call person as necessary for assistance in case of an emergency
· Complete exit paperwork when necessary
· Ensure residents safety by following Carroll County Emergency Shelter Policies and Procedures regarding setting the alarm, keeping doors secured, monitoring the gate and door systems, and requiring police escorts during designated times that may be deemed necessary by Management
· Render competent and quality services to all clients
Other Responsibilities:
· Ensure cleanliness and organization throughout the Shelter and all fire exits are free from obstructions.
· Complete Daily/Weekly Cleaning Schedules and Overnight Checklist
· Ensure client needs are met including but not limited to meal and drink preparations
· Other reasonable duties assigned by Management
Employee Requirements:All employees are required to abide by all internal Policies and Procedures of the organization including Confidentiality, Operational Policies and the Employee Handbook. All employees are expected to maintain high standards of professionalism with all clients, staff, volunteers and community partners. Any employee with questions about any policy of the agency should speak with their direct supervisor or another member of management.
Education/Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent is required for all positions within the agency. Good interpersonal, problem-solving, documentation, and technological skills are required. Employees must satisfactorily complete all internal training and management reviews before working individually with clients.
Preferred Education and Experience: Associate's or higher degree in related fields or 1+ years of experience in the field of victim services or non-profit work.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
