Metro Infectious Disease Consultants, is recruiting for an Advanced Practice Providers (APP) (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants) located in Chicago, IL. The APP will work with the collaborating physician in an active inpatient practice to deliver health care services to patients.
Schedule: 1-2 weekends per month (Saturday and Sundays) in hospitals located on the south side of Chicago.
The APP shall consult with the collaborating physician by telecommunication or in person as needed. In the absence of the designated collaborating physician, another physician shall be available for consultation.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- the diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic health problems,
- ordering, interpreting and performing laboratory and radiology tests,
- prescribing medications, including controlled substances, to the extent delegated,
- and performing other therapeutic or corrective measures as indicated
Requirements:
- Certified and hold an active IL license
- Must live in the state of IL
- Available to work 1-2 weekends per month
- Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19.
