Overview:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our team on a temporary basis as a Wedding Planning Assistant. As an Assistant, you will support the lead Wedding Planner in the the coordination and execution of an upcoming wedding, ensuring that no detail is missed. If you have a passion for creating unforgettable experiences and possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Lead Planner to understand the couple's vision, preferences, and details surrounding their wedding.
- Help source supplies and decor
- Support the management of vendor communications, ensuring they have all the information they need to effectively do their job
- Support the management of guest services, including RSVP tracking, seating arrangements, and accommodations
- On the day-of, oversee the setup and breakdown of the wedding venue to ensure everything is executed according to plan
- Coordinate with event staff and vendors on the day of the wedding to ensure smooth execution of all activities
- Handle any unexpected issues or emergencies that may arise during the event
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event or Wedding Planning (or the desire to learn)
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing exceptional client experiences
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and practices
- Proficient in using Google suite of tools
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work long hours while standing
