As one of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)’s top contractors, ISS is seeking a Website Specialistto support the Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) office primarily and a few other additional areas.
Where you will be: This role is fully remote.
What you will do: This role is part-time, estimated at 10-15 hours per week. This can be as a part-time employee or as a 1099 depending on the applicant. Tasks include:
- Serve as main webmaster for the IOOS website. Tasks include leveraging Wordpress to:
- Update current pages and sections
- Add new content provided by stakeholders
- Manage the web request form for incoming website changes from stakeholders
- Update the operating status in the website titlebar
- Posting the monthly newsletter
Approximately 6-10 hours per week.
- Support the Marine Biodiversity Observation Network (MBON) website as needed. Tasks include leveraging Wordpress to update web pages and add new content.
Approximately 1 hour per week.
- Support the National Oceanographic Partnership Program (NOPP) website as needed. Tasks include updating web pages and adding new content. Updates can be manual (HTML).
Approximately 1 hour per week.
- Update the ISS website per changes requested by leadership.
Approximately 1 hour per month.
What you bring:
- Experience in acting as a webmaster.
- Knowledge and experience in Wordpress.
- Knowledge of HTML.
- Bonus points: You are familiar with NOAA.
