Web Developer - Backend

MHI is seeking a Backend Web Developer to join our growing IT team. This role provides technical programming and support for MHI’s public-facing websites.

This includes all phases of the development life cycle including gathering requirements, site architecture, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design web-related activities of the organization. This resource will work closely with the Marketing department to support front-end web development activities that need integration with backend systems such as Salesforce and other third-party platforms via API integration.

Web Development responsibilities include:

• Design, develop and maintain web applications.
• Work closely with the designer and marketing team to implement visual designs and desired functionality
• Perform administrative tasks for web and database servers, including configuration and backups
• Ability to interact with all internal departments, and external vendors and provide support to website visitors
• Create reports and data exports for the management team from organizational databases. • Leverage best practices for web security and integration
• Other responsibilities as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, Visual Studio – expert proficiency level
• C# – expert proficiency level
• SQL Server, SQL, and T-SQL (writing views and stored procedures) – expert proficiency level.
• HTML 5, CSS 3, and JavaScript – expert proficiency level.
• Internet Information Services (IIS)– moderate level of proficiency.
• Ability to self-manage work and development efforts to meet critical deadlines.
• Solid communication skills – verbal and written (English)

• Adobe Photoshop.
• Salesforce and SOQL.
• Google Analytics.
• Microsoft Azure.
• General API development and integration

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Five to seven years’ experience in programming, database and web development
