Web Content Internship

The Utah Royals FC, Real Salt Lake (RSL), and RSL Training Academy are dedicated to the growth and success of soccer in Utah. SUMMARY:

This internship requires a minimum commitment of working every home game at America First Field or Zions Bank Stadium. There is the opportunity for additional work in the office and in the community, working on the various programs and special events managed by the Sponsorship department. Please note that home games of the 2024 season will begin in February and may run through December.

Preference will be given to candidates who have Spanish bi-lingual ability.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Performs regular updates and maintenance of the website, ensuring accurate and timely content
• Assist in writing stories for the website, recaps, previews, and other various written content, making the ability to write crucial to the success of the program
• Collaborate in crafting and distributing HTML-based email communications
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field (in the process of completing the degree is acceptable).
• Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends to attend home Real Salt Lake, Utah Royals, and Monarchs games
• Must be able to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
• Must be able to present ideas and receive/incorporate feedback
• Must be able to work 20-30 hours weekly
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must have a good understanding of Soccer
• Must be reliable, communicate, and have organizational skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 25 pounds or exerting heavy force, in a wide disparity or environmental conditions. The job involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, typing, etc.
