Spanish-Bilingual Web Content Specialist

Summary - Entry-level Web Content Specialists work under the direction of the Assistant Design Manager to upload new text, images, and resources to our website. Additionally, they are responsible for ensuring that our online product aligns with our paper product. Considerable experience in Photoshop and InDesign is preferred but the right candidate may also receive onsite training to expand skillset.

During the employee’s first 90 days, the employee will receive training on how to access and edit the back-end and front-end of our product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities –

• Translating the print product to an online format for customer use
• Creating curriculum-aligned printables for student use
• Checking own work against company standards and QC other members of the Digital Content Department's work
• Gather art assets, audio, and video creation from a Digital Asset Management system (DAM) or from other departments
• Assist with basic designs using Adobe’s Creative Suite
• Convert PSD art elements to web-ready formats
• Design online versions of Studies Weekly publications using art elements and online tools
• Create basic design documents like worksheets, graphic organizers and teaching tools
• Fully participate in collaboration as a member of a product development team
• Able to communicate fluently in spoken and written English
• Hours focused during collaborative team time during 9-4 with some flexibility for earlier or later work
• Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
• Participate in professional development, not less than 12 hours per year
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Great attention to detail and organization skills

Education and Experience –

• High School or equivalent required
• Introductory knowledge of Adobe’s Creative Suite
• Basic knowledge in Apple Computer OS
• Knowledge of Google Platforms
• Comfortable using Apple Software
• Some Coding Experience

Physical Demands –

The employee is required to talk, hear and see. Often, this position requires the employee to stand, sit, bend, stoop, crawl, kneel, ascend and descend stairs. Also to reach with arms and hands, and use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and manipulate keyboard keys. The employee is also required to lift up to 20 lbs. Company travel may be required by car, plane, or other means of transportation.
