Job Description
The Wealth Management Associate candidate will report to the CEO and the advisory team.
This position will be enrolled in the firm’s service advisor mentorship program. This program is designed to help develop the candidate to pursue a career as a financial advisor. In this program the candidate will work directly with the team in assisting in the analysis and preparing of plans for prospects and clients and performing basic research. The candidate will support and service the firm’s existing clients and work directly with a senior advisor to develop new business as well as the candidate’s skill set. The candidate will assist in all aspects of investment management and financial planning.

Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Looking for a self-starter/motivated candidate with at least 2 years’ experience preferably in the financial services industry
- Candidate will provide assistance to the team on a variety of products and services offered by the firm.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding and the ability to learn the financial markets.
- Assist in client meetings, preparing and follow-up including assembling paperwork, report generation, appointment scheduling and post-meeting documentation.
- Maintain client information in the CRM database
- Comply with all industry rules and regulations and continuing education
- Ability to attend meetings throughout the Hudson Valley in our satellite offices with a senior advisor and work evenings as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong knowledge of the markets, investment management and financial planning a plus
- Ability to manage client relationships.
- Assist prospects / clients plan for short- and long-term goals with primary focus on retirement planning and Wealth Management.
- Prepare reports, assist advisor in constructing financial plans, assist with meeting preparation and post meeting responsibilities.
- Delivering a high-quality customer service experience during each customer interaction.
- Demonstrate strong ethics.
- Candidate will have strong public speaking, presentation skills, and phone skills.
Education/Experience
- 2 years of work experience - preferably in the financial services industry
- Strong communication skills, time management and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Bloomberg, Morningstar or other portfolio management software a plus
License, Registration
- Series 7, 66 (or 65 and 63) registrations preferred (or ability to obtain through firm sponsorship)
- State Insurance license preferred (or ability to obtain)
