Essential Job Function:

The LifePro Asset Management trader would be executing trades on behalf of the firm’s clients, analyzing securities and providing support to the research team, assisting client service personnel with investment-related questions from clients, and other ad-hoc projects. Training will be provided as required, and while prior trading experience is preferred, we are open to candidates with a willingness and passion to pursue a career in capital markets. Excellent writing and computer skills, and a strong interest in investment research are requirements.

Execute block trades across subsets of client accounts, rebalancing, taking care of cash needs, etc. The candidate will also be expected to assist in developing the firm’s in-house strategies by researching and constructing reports on individual stocks, mutual funds, and ETFs. Experience with, or a desire to learn, functions on the Bloomberg Terminal is important. While the duties of this job are well-defined, we offer a dynamic work environment and there is opportunity for a well-qualified candidate’s responsibilities to grow.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Monitoring price fluctuations in the markets and communicating with other traders to identify market trends

· Communicating with clients regarding market activity and potential opportunities in specific markets or industries

· Recommending changes to existing trading strategies based on new information or client requests

· Researching new investment opportunities, such as bonds or stocks, in order to make recommendations to clients on possible trades

· Analyzing market data and identifying opportunities for profit in different markets—such as stocks, bonds, currencies, futures contracts, or commodities

· Conducting research on companies and industries to identify investment opportunities or risks

· Participating in meetings with clients to discuss investment strategies, including discussing risk tolerance levels and goals for each strategy

· Working with senior traders to manage client accounts and track performance over time

· Choosing appropriate investments based on client preferences and risk tolerance levels in order to meet investment goals

§ Collaborate with internal teams, including portfolio managers, marketing, compliance, and other cross-functional teams across the firm to facilitate smooth investment operations.

§ Create and publish regularly scheduled and/or ad-hoc, firm-wide reports in a timely fashion to ensure all team members can effectively manage and service client relationships.

§ Certify accurate and up-to-date data related to performance, investment holdings, transactions, and other relevant information while ensuring data integrity and consistency across various systems.

§ Maintain a working understanding of the metrics, calculations, key user workflows, and operational processes involved in the end-to-end maintenance of reporting platforms and databases.

§ Serve as a point of contact for all operations issues for advisor teams, custodians, and third-party solution providers.

§ Undertake ad-hoc projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and initiative to contribute to the dynamic needs of the team and organization.

Qualifications:

To become an entry-level trader, you need to have a bachelor's degree in economics, finance, business administration, math, statistics, or physics. Strong math and spreadsheet skills are also essential for the position. Summer internships at an investment brokerage or firm can improve your opportunities as a trader. Candidate Skills/Characteristics excellent command of the written English language is NECESSARY. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and related business productivity tools

They also need to be able to research individual stocks to understand their value and how they compare to other stocks. This research can help junior traders make informed decisions about which stocks to buy and sell.

Risk management: Risk management is the ability to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Junior traders often work with more experienced traders who can help them understand the risks associated with various investment strategies. This can help junior traders develop their risk management skills and improve their trading abilities.

Attention to detail: Attention to detail is the ability to notice small changes in data and market trends. Junior traders often work with more experienced traders, so it’s important that they pay close attention to the data they’re analyzing. This ensures that they’re aware of any changes that may affect the market and can make informed trading decisions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
