Description
Summary:
The Estate Settlement Officer manages and settles estates and/or terminates trusts. This role is responsible for coordinating information and activities with external business partners (Attorneys, CPA's) and internal support partners (Trust Tax and Real Estate, Wealth Management Services and Senior Trust Office) to ensure accurate, timely and efficient administration and to manage business risk, and maintains high quality communications with beneficiaries, with focus on client satisfaction and asset retention.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurate, timely and efficient administration of probate estates and terminating trusts.
- Ensure compliance with governing documents, bank policy and statutory requirements of the controlling jurisdiction.
- Consult and build relationships with WIM Relationship Managers, support partners and COIs to manage current Huntington clients, expand current relationships and build independent pipeline of new estate administration.
- Identify issues and research across jurisdictions.
- Continued professional development in area of expertise.
- Asset retention within Private Bank or through OCR activity with other bank partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 4 years of related estate settlement experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- CTFA
