Form of workThe CBS Chicago is an award-winning news operation across broadcast, streaming, digital and social platforms. We inform and educate the community by reporting important news and information across all of the Chicago area.
-Assisting with all elements of newscast/streaming production including logging, researching stories, selecting video.
-Assisting producers, news writers, assignment editors and reporters
-Perform light clerical and assist producers and talent
-Writing copy for digital and broadcast
-Performing duties as assigned by assignment editors including beat calls, data research, and fact gathering.
-Learn fundamental news-gathering and iNews formatting skills
Eligibility:
- Internships are available to students who will be Juniors, Seniors or Master's students in the fall of 2024. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities.
- You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June.
- Interns will be required to work fully on-site for the duration of the program.
- Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional).
