Summary of the Position:The Wave Planner schedules and releases outbound orders to the warehouse floor for order fulfillment.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Utilizes Warehouse Management System (WMS)/QAD to review aggregate order demand to be released to the warehouse floor for picking.
- Balances order selection workload throughout the day.
- Responsible for the accurate use and proper care of hand held scanning equipment.
- Communicates order shortages to customer solutions, inventory control and production scheduling in a timely manner.
- Communicates item discrepancies/shortages to a supervisor. Ensures FIFO (Fist in - First out) is being followed. Ensures that all orders are ready for pick-up according to transportation's schedule. Schedules appointment and ships UPS orders.
- Assists with maintaining a clean and organized work area, including sweeping.
- Observes safety rules, G.M.P.s and attend appropriate training.
- Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
- Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
- Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.
- Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
- Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.

Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Two plus years of forklift or order pulling experience required.
- Must have experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS), or other comparable computer experience.
- Material handling equipment certificate
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and WMS (Warehouse Management System).
