Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Engineer I to work in our growing Infrastructure group. We are seeking qualified applicants for our following office locations: Crystal Lake, IL, Chicago, IL, Mokena, IL, Naperville, IL, or Burlington WI.
POSITION DUTIES:

• Design of municipal water distribution systems, wastewater collections systems, and storm sewers (including pipelines, pumping stations, meters, and structures)
• Design of underground infrastructure rehabilitation using Trenchless Technologies
• Field work associated with Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Surveys (SSES), Fire Flow Testing, and Part-time Construction Observation
• Water and Sewer Hydraulic Modeling and Master Planning
• Permitting with local, state and federal permitting agencies
• Assistance with Rate Studies, Funding Applications, GIS mapping, and large multidisciplinary projects (WW treatment plant and transportation projects)

REQUIREMENTS:

• 4-year B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in environmental engineering preferred
• Internship or Co-op experience preferred in Consulting Engineering, Public Works, or Construction
• Minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0
• E.I.T (Engineer in Training) License preferred
• Excellent technical writing skills
• Strong verbal, computer and organizational skills
• Ability to travel throughout Chicago area (own transportation)
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of basic principles of hydraulics, water distribution, and wastewater collection systems
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Ability to work on many different projects for many different Project Managers
