The Town of Jackson, Public Works Department, is now accepting applications for the full-time position of Water Utility Manager, $94,500 - $132,200 annually, DOQ. This is an excellent opportunity for a value centered, team-oriented professional.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a working manager position with primary duties including oversight and management of regulatory compliance, assets, operations programs, and personnel related to the Town’s water system including wells, pumps, storage tanks, treatment, distribution lines, construction inspection, right of way excavation, meter reading and utility location. Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: High School graduation or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree preferred in engineering, business management or related field, plus ten (10) yrs experience in utility infrastructure maintenance with two (2) of those years in progressively responsible management/supervisory experience, CDL preferred. Ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership and management abilities, excellent communication skills, computer software proficiency, and a positive outlook on public service and upgrades/improvements to current operations.
