Job Description


AECOM is actively seeking a talented Civil/Water Resources Engineer for immediate employment for the Germantown, MD office.
We are looking for an enthusiastic engineering project manager to provide leadership as part of an established civil and Water Resources Engineering design team in our Germantown, Maryland office. This position will support ongoing Water Resources and site civil engineering projects across the DC-Metro/Mid-Atlantic region, including client interface, project management, and business development.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
  • Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
  • Identifies discrepancies in results.
  • Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.

Qualifications


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Water Resources OR other related degree, with 2 years of experience
  • 2 years experience with Hydrologic/Hydraulic models
  • Demonstrated experience with stormwater management and flood mitigation
  • Proven experience using standard computer software (e.g., AutoCAD, ArcGIS)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineer-in-Training
  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Programs/Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software.
  • A strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn, and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven environment.

Offered rate of compensation ([insert state] locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $75,000 - 90,000.
