Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
General Description:
Operate, maintain, manage and build Parkson’s Water Research Facility which includes the aeration, laboratory, warehouse, testing and storage areas. Assist Applications Engineers, Regional Managers, Product Managers, Developmental engineers, Aftermarket and Field Service in evaluating, investigating and troubleshooting new and existing processes for Parkson’s products. Develop and implement Training programs and classes for internal and external Parkson customers. Help to build process capability within the company and with external customers. External -Interfaces with Owners, Operators, Sales Representatives, Consulting Engineers, Equipment and Chemical Suppliers. Internal -Interfaces with Laboratory Chemist, Applications Engineers, Regional Sales Managers, Product Managers, Research Development & Innovation (RDI) personnel, Aftermarket, Field Service, Finance and Quality.
Essential Functions:
- Assume responsibility for the day-to-day operation, function, and maintenance of the Water Research Facility.
- Assist with Parkson’s efforts to develop markets for existing and new products.
- Review application questionnaires and information supplied by customers to assist the laboratory chemists in performing chemical analysis, tests, evaluations and recommendations required to assist sales efforts for Parkson’s products. Review outgoing laboratory test reports.
- Participate in technical studies and product testing and provide input regarding specifications and technical plans as requested in accordance with quality requirements, company standards, and customer requirements.
- Oversee all pilot activities including, but not limited to: pilot rental agreement execution, test plan completion, electromechanical prep work, site setup and testing, data collection, and final report completion.
- Ensure clean and well-organized document storage – including well defined folder and document naming conventions.
- Perform and assist in laboratory tests and evaluations as required.
- Provide technical and process assistance to internal and external customers.
- Develop and implement WRF Training programs that provide process, hands-on operations and maintenance training using training aids and pilot equipment as an analogue for full scale products.
- Work with the Quality department to develop and implement safety policies and procedures for WRF employees and visitors.
- Assist lab chemist to maintain and follow a Chemical Hygiene Plan for the lab.
- Maintain safe and efficient warehouse activities, procedures, and work conditions.
- Communicate with internal customers to determine their needs for warehouse space and storage.
- Coordinate, schedule and track incoming and outgoing warehouse shipments.
- In coordination with marketing department, develop marketing collateral and case studies to promote the sale of Parkson pilot and new unit sales.
- Responsible for purchasing equipment, chemicals, and supplies for the WRF.
- Work with various regulatory agencies (Broward County Hazardous Material & Storage Tank Licensing, etc.).

Education:
- Bachelors’ degree required (mechanical, electrical, chemical, industrial, civil, environmental, etc.)
- Engineering or other Technology degree preferred
Experience:
- Experienced user of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
- Experience with ISO9001 requirements a plus.
- Experience with controlling budgets and/or project costs and providing deliverables to clients on time and with a high degree of quality and integrity.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and trouble shooting skills and ability to multi-task.
- Working knowledge of PLC, HMI, & Control panels and ability to read, & interpret electrical circuit drawings, and make minor changes to the wiring
- Experience with operating Forklift for loading, unloading, and moving of heavy equipment.
- History of effective employee management, engagement and mentorship
Travel:
- Ability to travel up to 50-70%
