Job Summary
Water Park Attendant - Seasonal (Park and Recreation)

Job Description

Overview
The Water Park Attendant provides for patron safety and first aid in coordination with aquatics safety personnel by enforcing park rules, safely monitoring and operating waterslides and other aquatic features, and recognizing and responding to aquatic incidents during park operations.
Essential Functions
1 Provides safe, efficient, and competent waterslide dispatching and cautions swimmers of rule violations to enforce ride safety and enjoyment.
2 Participates in weekly inservice trainings
3 Administers first aid to waterpark patrons daily; properly administers CPR and First Aid as required.
4 Reports injuries, accidents, and assistance rendered to patrons and document each occurrence daily.
5 Supports and performs daily cleaning and closing duties.
6 Assist with pre-season operational and maintenance tasks.
7 Performs any and all other work as needed or assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
1 Knowledge of basic first aid skills.
2 Knowledge of pool safety and City policies.
3 Knowledge of Water Park rules for operation.
4 Ability to monitor and dispatch persons on slides.
5 Ability to handle emergency situations quickly and effectively,
6 Ability to swim, run, walk, stand, and perform a wide range of physical abilities.
7 Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
8 Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Salary Range

$18.50 - $19.75
