Water Clerk Position (part time)

Job Duties:

• Works with customers with inquiries about charges and services. Receives payments from customers and handles filing of customers information.
• Does monthly reports such as cashier reports consumption reports, and provides work orders to Water Tech and does monthly billing.
• Responsible for connecting and disconnecting customer services. Maintain meter files, connections, and equipment.
• Prepares files and reports for annual audits.
• Types letters, forms, disconnection letters, and other correspondence to customers, Town Council, and/or staff.
• Ability to work independently with less supervision, be timely on projects and reports, and be innovative.
• Must be willing to go to trainings and implement training tools to enhance the department.
• Must be willing to learn Town maps, water lines, hydrants, and the Town’s water policies related to the water system. Maintains all office equipment related to the water system.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or higher. Accounting background or willingness to learn. You must be willing to take a drug test. Must physically be able to bend, lift, walk, and be out in different climate weather.
• Must be efficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and be abreast with computers.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Pay Rate: $15.00-$19.00/hour
Position Hours: 8 a.m-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, work during special events or Town meetings.
