Washington Trap Checker/Field Scout

Job Summary:

This highly motivated self-starter will be responsible for checking insect traps, accurately recording data, and visually scouting orchard blocks. This is a seasonal full-time position from April to mid-September.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately identify, count and record pest data on digital platform
• Inspect orchards for weeds and diseases and record on digital platform
• Communicate observations to Chamberlin Field Staff
• Use GPS technology to map fields
• Comply with company safety standards
• Self-motivated with ability to work alone with minimal supervision

Qualifications and Skill:

• Valid WA Drivers license
• ATV riding experience
• Proficient iPad skills
• Ability to read and understand Google Earth maps
• Self-motivated and schedule motivated
• Knowledge and/or experience with agricultural operations (preferred)

Salary and Benefits:

$16.28-$17.00 per hour. Full time seasonal employment. Actual hourly wage may differ based upon location skills and experience. This position does not offer any benefits. Details to be discussed during application process.
