Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 8 years progressively responsible warranty experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the aviation industry.
Position Purpose:
Manage the assigned group, under minimal direction from Warranty Manager, and provide advice and direction to group to ensure proper financial impact to the company while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. When necessary, act on behalf of the Manager and provide assistance in the decision making process for the Customer Warranty Group. Assist, as required, with budget planning and procedural/process changes to department. Oversee warranty participation in the Production Change Management Team, Customer Bulletin Management Team, Service Bulletin Management Team and RQAAT either through attendance or by providing information regarding fleet issues, ensuring financial responsibility for warrantable conditions.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
  1. Supervise staff in the reduction of warranty costs to meet organizational goals and ensure proper charging to warranty accounts overseeing corrections that are required.
  2. Coordinate and assign the work of warranty staff. Provide direction in problematic situations to ensure proper financial responsibility. .
  3. Ensure Warranty is represented at PCMT, CBMT, SBMT, and RQAAT meetings and provide input regarding aircraft warranties and that financial responsibility, job charges/posting profiles are in place prior to release of documents such as Customer Bulletins, Aircraft Service Changes and Service Bulletins.
  4. Maintain and document corporate warranty policies and procedures and review on a continuous basis to implement improvements and revisions as necessary.
  5. Supervise the approval process of invoices received from all Gulfstream sites as well as from Authorized Warranty Repair Facilities and ensure payment of such invoices.
  6. Oversee with Manager, departmental budgets and ensure compliance to budgetary limits as well as recommend changes as needed.
  7. Continually develop and manage training sessions for any departments requiring warranty training to ensure that personnel have proper tools to properly handle the administration of the day-to-day activities.
  8. Oversee with staff the new aircraft delivery presentations for customers and coordinate with other Gulfstream sites to ensure consistent content is presented.
  9. Provide day-to-day assistance to the Service Centers to ensure better handling of parts.
  10. Maintain contact with Manager and Senior Management of all operational and support organizations involved with the process of addressing warranty administration and cost control. .
  11. Administer and/or assist Dispute Resolution Board with Gulfstreams partner, IAI, in the resolution process of warranties for the mid-cabin aircraft.
  12. Work with Sr. Management on responses to customers regarding their warranties.
  13. Oversee contractual terms of agreement with all of our authorized warranty maintenance facilities and participate in negotiations as required. .

Additional Functions:
  1. Attend Suppliers PMRs and Product Support Board Meetings with suppliers to give input from warranty regarding suppliers contracts. .

Other Requirements:
  1. Ability to effectively use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
  2. Corridor experience preferred.
