Responsibilities:
1. Warranty Claims Processing:
- Accurately and efficiently process warranty claims for automotive services and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer and dealership warranty guidelines.
2. Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain detailed and organized records of warranty claims, including supporting documentation and communication.
- Track warranty claim statuses and follow up as needed to expedite resolution.
3. Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with service advisors, technicians, and parts departments to gather necessary information for warranty claims.
- Communicate effectively with manufacturers and warranty administrators to facilitate timely resolution of claims.
4. Customer Interaction:
- Address customer inquiries related to warranty claims with professionalism and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Provide clear explanations of warranty coverage and processes to customers.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular reviews of warranty claim submissions to identify and address errors or discrepancies.
- Implement continuous improvement measures to enhance the efficiency of the warranty process.
6. Training and Compliance:
- Stay informed about manufacturer warranty policies and updates.
- Provide training and guidance to service department staff on proper warranty documentation and procedures.
7. Reporting:
- Generate and analyze reports related to warranty claims, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports for management on warranty claim performance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in automotive technology or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Warranty Clerk or in a similar role within an automotive dealership is preferred.
- Familiarity with warranty procedures and guidelines of major automotive manufacturers.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using computer software for data entry and record management.
