POSITION SUMMARY
Support Gibbs Die Castings strategic Initiatives through Customer Satisfaction, On-time delivery, Reduction of inventory levels, Reduction of premium freight occurrences, Level scheduling, and Cost reduction activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Moves product by hand, hand truck, or forklift equipment to maintain flow of material.
- Unload customer dunnage, packaging materials, cardboard, components, parts, etc. while ensuring all is in its proper location.
- Load carriers with outgoing parts and ensure part, skid quantity, and carrier match the bill of lading (BOL).
- Follow the first in first out (FIFO) procedure when shipping parts.
- Process product to customer specifications (band, stretch wrap, pallet verification (export), container type, routing tag verification, weight count, labels, etc.).
- Maintains inventory accuracy by pulling stock per pick list, and notifies supervisor if inventory is not available that is documented on the pick list.
- Inventory accuracy is everyone's responsibility and it helps maintain level scheduling and ensures on time deliveries while minimizing inventory costs and premium transportation.
- Maintains inventory accuracy by performing accurate physical inventories as scheduled.
- Maintain general awareness of warehouse and other factors affecting shipping product on time.
- Communicates pertinent information (Parts on Hold, Inventory Discrepancies, Damaged or Deteriorated Material, Maintenance issues, Safety concerns, etc.) to Supervisor.
- Pull and process material from warehouse to achieve on time delivery, carrier window times, etc.
- Participates in problem solving activities as applicable.
REQUIRED SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education, knowledge, skills and abilities:
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Experience: Minimum six (6) months experience operating a fork truck.
Communication: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Math: Ability to perform basic math, addition, subtraction, division and multiplication in whole numbers, and complete training required as needed.
Computer Skills: Basic skill in use of windows based applications, computer scales, RF devices, and AS400 based programs such as CMS400, and Internet Browsers.
Other: Flexibility to be able to work non-standard shifts and immediate call-in as required. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry product weighing up to 50 pounds. Willing and able to complete all required classes assigned through the training matrix.
Licenses: Requires a willingness to be licensed for required powered industrial equipment as listed in the chart below. A Class B CDL is preferred but not required.
