WAREHOUSE WORKER/DRIVER
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Department: Delivery
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Profile
This position is primarily responsible for performing an array of warehouse duties to ensure the warehouse operates efficiently and customer deliveries are on-time.
Essential Job Function/Responsibilities
- Loads and unloads truck for customer deliveries and/or branch locations. Assists customers, asks relevant questions, and provides information.
- Fills orders by retrieving materials and products from the warehouse and other locations as needed.
- Checks in and puts away inventory and other materials, verifies quantity and quality. Ensures the inventory and materials are properly organized. Maintains clear aisles and walkways.
- Performs warehouse maintenance activities such as sweeping, cleaning.
- Reports back orders or other discrepancies. Performs cycle counts and required, follow up on discrepancies. Assists in performance of inventory checks for year-end or other company checkpoints.
- Informs manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED certificate.
Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack.
Experience with RF scanner.
Knowledge of inventory processes, electronic and manual.
Commercial driver’s license (Class A, B, or C) or ability to obtain such preferred. Must maintain licensure, credentials, and driving record.
Physical Demands
Must be able to regularly stand; walk; use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, or carry; reach with hands and arms.
Must be able to occasionally sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to frequently lift up to 75 lbs.
Must be able to tolerate fluctuations in temperature, heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
Must be able to talk and hear and read and identify numbers to accurately fill orders and to receive products and materials.
Working Conditions
Requires working in warehouse setting where temperature fluctuates.
Dress code is casual with company uniforms provided in most situations.
