Job Description

SUMMARY:

Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, chemicals and products within establishments by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, chemicals or other stock items. Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Marks materials with identifying information. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Drives forklift to transport stored items from warehouse to loading dock.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
• Fill 10#, 30#, and 100# cylinders.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb and balance, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• This position will require exposure to all elements of the weather, winter, spring, summer, and fall. Some task will require direct contact with weather.
• The noise level for certain tasks will require ear protection
• Personal Protective Equipment will be furnished, including a respirator if needed.

Employees are also eligible to earn a $500 quarterly bonus.

Pay: $17.50 - $18.75 per hour
