Position Overview
The Warehouse Technology Specialist configures, maintains, and supports Warehouse Technology equipment throughout the C&S enterprise. The Warehouse Technology Specialist acts as a point of escalation of issues that require expert-level attention for internal and external members of the organization and provides IS project support for warehouse-related projects.

Acts as a subject matter expert of Warehouse Technology and an escalation point for field techs, contractors, and vendors providing day-to-day support of technology in the field.
Provides IS project support for implementations, warehouse startups, and shutdowns including but not limited to technology assessments, on-site support through physical installation and testing of Warehouse Technology and their components, documentation and training for operation support teams post Go-Live as well as asset collection and management during warehouse closures.
Coordinates warranty work needed to equipment by scheduling necessary maintenance with vendors.
Maintains service contacts by renewing contracts when the contract period is over and negotiates contract rates with vendors.
Inputs purchase orders for necessary equipment/technology.
Partners with vendors to secure quotes on Warehouse Technology equipment.
Communicates with vendors to gather estimated delivery dates for equipment.
Conducts biannual site visits asses the overall health and security of IS assets deployed to warehouses. Takes inventory and inspects conditions of IS assets and reports findings to IS leadership and Warehouse Operations.

Skills
Specialized Knowledge : General knowledge of wireless technology, PC's, servers, networking, telecommunications, mobile computing and RF equipment, printers (laser, thermal, etc.) and other equipment. Experience with diagnosing and resolving highly technical issues. Experience in the configuration, implementation and support of on-site technologies and systems.
Special Skills : Ability to collaborate across various functions and teams. Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and project management skills.
Physical abilities: : Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Other: : Must be able to work in an on-call environment in support of 24/7/365 Information Services and Technology operations for the entire C&S Enterprise.
Years Of Experience
5-7 : 5+ years of experience in an IT support role or related experience. 2+ year of project management experience. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Associate Degree - Computer Information Technology, High School Diploma - General Studies
