Previous warehouse experience preferred, but NOT NECESSARY! Will train the right person!

The Warehouse Team Member is responsible for assisting in the destruction, sorting, and shredding process for the shred division at Austin Task, Inc.

Additional responsibilities may include:

• Sorting and destroying documents, paper, and other items
• Organizes and cleans the warehouse to include (but not limited to) dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, picking up debris in the warehouse and surrounding external and internal areas, etc.
• Stacking, purging/emptying, weighing, and cleaning bins
• Operates the shredder
• Assisting with loading and unloading trucks and/or bins
• Accurately records bin weights
• Appropriately organizes, sorts and shreds items by grade, type and other assigned factors
• Maintaining appropriate bin flow
• Assists with the proper handling of confidential material
• Maintain truck binders, as assigned
• Wears appropriate/required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
• Efficiently separates contents of boxes into the appropriate receptacles; places full receptacles in proper staging area; moves receptacles up to 300 pounds with assistance
• Lifts up to 50 pounds with or without assistance; routinely reaches, bends and stoops
• Adheres to contractual requirements (Source America, NAID, and others), as required
• Consistently meets and/or exceeds productivity goals; meets competing deadlines; adheres to outside contractual requirements
• Follows through on all actions to ensure 100% deadline compliance
• Excellent attendance required
• All other duties as assigned for the successful execution and/or completion of various projects whether or not specifically assigned
