- Process alterations and maintain sales order integrity in a sequential order through the tailor shop
- Perform minor and major types of alterations in an accurate and timely manner
- Operate tailor shop equipment including, but not limited to, straight stitch machine, blind stitch machine, serger, and button machine
- Audit and inspect garments on sales orders prior to altering
- Ensure alterations are placed with correct order upon completion and press finished product
- Advise management of any breakdowns and maintenance needs immediately to ensure good routine preventive maintenance on all equipment
- Promote safe work practices at all times to ensure a safe work environment and report all safety issues requiring corrective action
- Contribute to building a positive team spirit and support the company’s goals and objectives
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Available to work in all areas of production, as needed
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum one year of experience in tailoring
- Experience with a blind stitch sewing machine, steam press, sewing needles, scissors, and other items necessary to tailoring
- Experience with metal hooks, plastic bags, plastic packaging, cardboard boxes, box cutters, tape dispensers, and other materials necessary to the production and packaging of merchandise
- Ability to read and understand picking tickets
- Ability to meet deadlines, productivity standards, and complete work in a timely manner
- Possess a sense of urgency to work in a time sensitive, fast-paced team environment
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, organize with good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to pay attention to detail and maintain accuracy
- Must have good communication skills
- Able to learn new skills and follow directions
- Must be customer oriented
- Ability to work in all areas of production
- Ability to work well independently, as well as a vital member of a team

- Continuously standing, walking, sitting, reaching and working overhead, climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, stretching, crouching, and crawling
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for grasping, reaching, pulling, and pushing
- Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment
- Ability to work at least 40+ hours per week from the facility with flexibility based on business needs
- Regular and on-time attendance
- Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
