PURPOSE

As the Warehouse Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the completion of all night shift assignments. This position is responsible for the leadership and development of all night shift personnel assigned. The candidate responsibility for cross-functional cooperation with other departments and facilities necessary for the successful performance of the business.

WORK SCHEDULE

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, coordinate, direct and supervise all operational aspects of the night shift to provide outstanding service to our customers, effectively lead team and maximize business needs.
• Assists with scheduling and oversees daily assignments to ensure quality control and maximum productivity of the shift team.
• Leads and assists in the handling of all customer product that has been received or needs to be shipped.
• Coordinates and oversees the daily loading and unloading of all customer product.
• Coach and enforce safe working procedures and practices for a hazard-free workplace.
• Manage and train all shift personnel.
• Establish or adjust work schedules to meet all deadlines.
• Supervises all shift activities, trucks loading/unloading, receiving of vendor POs, and dock cleanliness.
• Performs shift activities to include quality of customer product coming in/out, researching missing product, and proper pallet labeling of customer product.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Prior management experience, in warehouse and delivery, is required.
• 4+ years of warehouse related experience, is required.
• Must have sound decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Forklift certification is required.
• Switcher / Yard dog experience is preferred.
• Must be able to constantly work in a warehouse environment and be able to remain in a stationary position for long period of time.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is desired.
