The Warehouse Specialist will be asked for perform warehousing, receiving, sorting, inventorying, and processing material for the Logistics Support Team of Naval Supply Fleet Logistics Center San Diego, CA.
***MUST HAVE ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE***
- Pick up, receive, verify and sort material in warehouse locations and designated area of San Diego base
- Screen, verify and sort material by stock or Direct Turnover by ship based on the documents project code
- Verify Unit Identification Code and activity name of receipt document to make certain material being processed is correct
- Verify National Sock Number/Navy Item Control Number, Local Item control number and part number
- Verify that inventory document reflects the total quantity provided and open all shipping boxes to check for multi-packs
- Sort material in the warehouse accordingly based on the document serial number
- Verify material receipts against a supply management data base when receipt is not readable or damaged
- Pick up materials from Defense Logistics Agency warehouses on Naval Base San Diego base
- Deliver material to ships during assigned schedule and stow materials nearly in proper locations onboard ships. If locations are not assigned, contractor shall assign new location and annotate change on receipt document
- Conduct location audits when given location audit sheets
- Conduct inventories per schedule provided
- Upload Material from various Naval Facility and off load materials
- Check materials received
- Operate up to a 6,000-pound forklift to perform tasks
- Remove material from the warehouse or ship's location using offload documents provided by the designated government representative
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness by sweeping and taking trash out daily, keeping ails free of materials, and organize shelves
Requirements
- Must have working knowledge in requisitioning procedures, receipt processing, financial improvement and audit readiness compliance, warehouse operations, hazardous material storage on load/offload, shipping transportation procedures
- Must have broad knowledge of NAVSUP policies and procedures
- 3 years minimum experience of inventory, warehousing, receiving, and stowing
- Must have knowledge in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point
- Forklift Certified or previously certified and no more than 3 years ago
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must be able to pass a FEDERAL BACKGROUND CHECK
- Must have an ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE
