Position Requirements:
Certification: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers; American Heart Association Health care Provider Course; American Red Cross CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) for the Professional Rescuer; or equivalent.
Clearance: T3 DOD issued-Security Clearance (NACLC)
Education/Experience:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year of general office experience, and a minimum of six months' experience with Microsoft Office and database automation software functions.
- 1 year of experience working at a medical warehouse service strongly preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently and maintain good communication skills with patients and other health care personnel.
Must be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and capable of normal ambulation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide inventory services of accountable property to the Command and Marine Corps Base Hawaii medical clinics and annexes in support of the Materials Management Department.
Examine daily inventory hand receipts, acquisition documents, invoices or receipts to verify completeness and accuracy. Annotate and report all discrepancies. Complete appropriate discrepancy documents as well as assist in updating property information in the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system.
Conduct Quarterly command inventory of accountable property. Validate property location, Custodian accuracy and bar code authenticity.
Transfer excess property and equipment weekly. Prepares transfer documentation. File documentation in property folders for record completeness.
Provide daily staging and loading for property of all types and size onto delivery vehicles rearranging for proper weight distribution to prevent load shifting. Use of pallet jacks and hand trucks or by hand shall be used in loading property delivered to buildings without loading docks may require manual loading onto carts or pallets. Material loaded in a manner to prevent damage to material or vehicle. Obtain signatures for delivered items, retain and file all signed documents.
Coordinate daily supplies and equipment distribution and disposal of excess materiel as well as receive and inspect supply shipments from Medical Prime Vendor, General Service Administration (GSA) and Purchasing sources.
Attend all mandatory training such as monthly process improvement meetings, monthly stand-downs, annual IT systems upgrade training, and command Annual Training
Maintain knowledge of organization, regulations, policies, and procedures of Federal, DoD and Navy Medicine Material Management supply functions. Personnel will have knowledge of standard equipment used in warehouse environment (e.g. pallet jack, computers, handheld terminals (HHTs) and barcode scanners).
