Stat Courier Warehouse Sorters are entrusted with handling duties such as lifting, moving and packing items to ensure that they are made ready for delivery. The position of a Warehouse Sorter is an entry level position, which leads to future advancement within the company.
This position is located in Columbus, Ohio.
What Will Your Job Look Like?
- Receives library books brought into warehouse by delivery
- Read library codes to determine which books to pick and locate products within the warehouse sorting area
- Sort and organize library books into designated areas by codes
- Sort hundreds of books per hour to meet weekly production standards
- Ascertain that all picked and labeled books are properly packed and ready for pick up
- Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Warehouse experience preferred
- Effective time management skills to complete assigned and required tasks in a timely manner
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude; respecting others time and ability to focus on their essential functions
- Strong and clear communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to think critically and problem solve
- Adaptability to learn new warehouse techniques and take on new tasks
