SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a full-time Warehouse Shipping Team Lead for our Closed-Door Pharmacy at our Phoenix location(s). This role reports to the supervisor and helps monitor activities for the team, initially handles escalations for the team, and trains other employees as needed.

• Perform all shipping tasks required to create satisfied customers, internal and external.
• Perform all tasks in a timely and economical manner.
• Communicate with and support the Warehouse/ Shipping and Customer Service Teams
• Follow policies and procedures in the Employee Manual, Quality Assurance Manual, Safety Manual, and shipping procedures.

• Leads and motivates the Outbound team in order preparation, picking and packing, and ensuring cut-off is achieved to meet customer and company requirements.
• Ensures the team abides by DOT regulations in the processing of hazardous materials, including ORM-D, per carrier requirements.
• Ensures team uses proper packing procedures and that adequate packing supplies and equipment are available.
• Ensures end-of-day system verification tasks are completed and open orders have been invoiced.
• Ensures the maintenance of a safe working environment, according to established safety procedures. Advises management of issues that affect the efficiency of the operation.
• Monitors performance of team members and provides feedback to management.
• Recognizes training needs and implements training to ensure team is prepared.
• Ensures management is aware, on a regular basis, of all aspects of employee performance.
• Performs security checks of the building and locks and secures the building for the evening, or opens
• Ensures the completion of all general housekeeping duties, as required, and that supplies are available for such duties.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.

• Reports directly to Shipping Supervisor.
• Hours will vary and rotate from a range of 7:30am to 6pm Monday thru Friday, with occasional Saturdays
• Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies
• Must be flexible to work overtime hours as needed.

• Minimum of one year of experience in warehouse or production environment; prior experience directing work flow preferred
• Shipping experience
• Experience in leading and coaching small teams
• Negotiating experience and skills
• Desire for continuous improvement and growth
• Experience with data entry on a PC
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word preferred
• Proficiency in operation of computerized manifesting systems preferred
• Experience and knowledge in distribution processes (receiving, shipping, and inventory)
• Writing, math and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with other teams
• Ability to manage small projects personally and work independently
• Ability to make decisions on box size and packaging with least cost to customer yet protects quality of parts
• Organizational skills and detailed oriented with a quality mindset
• Ability to work within a deadline under pressure and handle interruptions
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb ladders, reach overhead, and lift up to 30 to 50 lbs occasionally.
• High school diploma or equivalent

• Hazmat experience
• Experience in customer service and telephone or equivalent training
• Warehousing/parts storage or fulfillment experience
• Shipping experience with UPS, USPS, Fedex, DHL, LTL
• Export International shipping
