SalaryPrimeSource Building Products, Inc., one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors of building supply products, is seeking a reliable, hard working Warehouse Shipping Lead in our Salt Lake City location.
The person in this position will assist the DC Operations Manager in the day-to-day duties and ensure all daily job functions are completed. They will assist Operations Manager in assuring that all inbound and outbound product is pulled, packaged, loaded, and shipped with 100% accuracy.
This position is responsible and accountable for high standards of warehouse cleanliness and organization. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assists with receiving stock into warehouse.
- Coordinates outbound and inbound freight.
- Demonstrates the ability to provide direction to Shipping team members and Warehouse Associates
- Ensures all Shipping team members and Warehouse Associates are trained in Shipping SOP’s
- Keeps Distribution Center Manager, Operations Manager and Supervisors updated daily on personnel, shipping goals, quality, and equipment
- Lead and supervise in the set up of all phases of assigned Shipping area for smooth and efficient operations
- Maintain order integrity while efficiently emptying carts, pallets, and packing orders in a neat manner
- Accurately, utilizing our Warehouse Mgmt System, identify and pull products for restock
- Build and shrink wrap pallets for distribution
- Assists in double checking all orders.
- Maintains and organizes stock in warehouse.
- Assists with order picking and shipping.
- Assigns pick locations as needed.
- Assists Operations Manager as needed.
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE:
- Operating a lift that handles longer loads
- Experience using SAP
- Order picking and scanning experience
We are seeking candidates with at least 4 years of warehouse and distribution experience. Experience in a Shipping Lead position is preferred (shipping and receiving experience), 50 lb minimum lifting requirement. Building materials background preferred but not required.
