SUMMARY Effectively plan, organize, lead and control the Operations Dept. of a small size Moving & Storage Branch. Organizes required human resources and physical assets required to achieve planned objectives as defined in the Graebel Move Process. Responsible for Safety enforcement and compliance. RESPONSIBILITIES Effectively manages those reporting directly/indirectly to the position, providing communication, leadership, motivation, development, and discipline in order to promote quality performance and achievement of financial and quality objectives. Level of delegation is associated with staff/branch size. Effectively manages a contractor workforce to ensure the highest quality service to Graebel customers and achievement of operating margin objectives. This includes recruiting, retaining of workforce. Oversees all operations financial issues - minimizing claims, maximizing revenues, and controlling expenses to match established business plan. Provides for the protection, maintenance and custody of company assets through all adherence to federal, state, and Graebel safety/compliance standards by all Production staff, Operations Staff, and drivers. Ensures all household and commercial jobs are properly dispatched with appropriate human and equipment resources to ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency. Confirms all paperwork and documentation is processed in a timely manner. Understands customer expectations and particulars of job assignments are communicated to individuals performing the work. Lead the Operations department to consistently exceed the expectations of the internal customer as measured by PQC and claims ratios. Manages the Warehouse to efficiently receive, inventory, store, and deliver out customer property without claims for loss or damage utilizing delegation as appropriate. Performs other related essential duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE • Good verbal and written communication skills which can be gained with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent experience • Minimum of 1 year warehouse experience in material handling/forklift operation. Must be able to run compactor.
