Receiving Supervisor– Supports the Receiving Manager to effectively manage the production goals, work schedule and department employees.

Hours: 2am to 10:30am (until finish when workload is heavy) off Wednesday and Saturday

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Manage entire receiving operation, including unloading and sorting of deliveries

· Collaborate with Receiving Manager in creating storage solutions to accommodate fluctuating incoming inventory volume

· Ensure basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations; conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain cleanliness

· Communicate with multiple departments (sales, transportation, etc.) to effectively manage and prioritize incoming inventory

· Train, mentor, and provide regular feedback to employees in order to cultivate their skills and expertise, enabling them to carry out their duties more efficiently

· Help Receiving Manager mediate personnel issues effectively and ensuring prompt resolution

· Work with Receiving Manger to establish daily objectives for the receiving team (communicate goals to receiving team efficiently)

· Identify opportunities to improve standard operating procedures for department

Qualifications:

· High School diploma or equivalent required – Associates/Bachelor’s Degree preferred

· 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory/managerial role in industry-specific field (produce wholesale)

· Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred

· Strong ability to influence, provide leadership, work in a team environment and/or independently

· Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds, work in refrigerated environment (33 – 50 degrees) and stand/walk for roughly 80% percent of the shift

· Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
