Warehouse Receiving Manager

Position Summary

The primary responsibilities of the Warehouse Receiving Manager are to ensure the efficient flow, tracking, and accuracy of all inventories, in and out of the warehouse. This includes all deliveries and all related processes and paperwork. This gatekeeper role reviews all merchandise/ products and ensures they are received, shipped, stocked, and inventoried accurately in accordance with Company standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Helps to organize inbound and outbound trucks and meet their load accuracy and time requirements

· Reports any issues or shortages to the direct supervisor immediately

· Unload and load trucks in safe manner including operating equipment to unload and load

· Process special orders according to store policy upon delivery

· Establish and maintain strict organization and cleanliness standards in receiving area

· Maintain organized and accurate files for all paperwork related to the receiving area

· Ensure accuracy of all in-bound shipments by reconciling contents against the shipping invoice

· Receive and sort all merchandise shipments

· Resolves PO and vendor quantity issues

· Process returns of any defective or incorrect products

· Process all damage claims (third-party and ACE) according to store policy and maintain related paperwork

· Collaboration with sales floor associates, General Managers and delivery driver for proper delivery of merchandise

· Prepare for transfers and push product to sales floor

· Keeps the receiving staff safe and accident free with adequate training and safety measures

· Oversee and responsible for following procedures for store transfers and the maintenance of the delivery vehicles

· Merchandise assembly for displays, deliveries, and/or other requests

· Manages a small team and ensures team is well developed and held accountable to job duties and performance standards

· May assist with other positions within the store when needed

· Other duties assigned by the direct supervisor

Qualifications

· High School diploma or equivalent experience preferred

· Conscientious of business effectiveness

· Knowledge of product lines along with a willingness to learn

· Experience in a retail environment

· Extreme organizational skill

· Knowledgeable of standard retail policies and procedures

· Ability to communicate, relate well, and direct the work of others

· Ability to solve problems, work independently, and check accuracy

· Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word, and Excel a plus

· Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task

· Purchase order handling and resolution

· Knowledge of OSHA rules for safety

· One-year managerial experience required

Physical Demand

· Climb stairs and ladders using proper safety measures

· Lifting up to 80 lbs.

· Bending, Stooping, Twisting, and Reaching

· Standing for lengthy periods of time (up to 10 hours or more)

· Operate heavy machinery as needed

· Use of hands for computer use

Work Environment

· Traveling to and from store(s) assigned to for the day, as necessary

· Indoor facility where with moderate noise and temperature levels

· Ability to work fluctuating and flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the business

· Manages a small team of employees

· Ability to work other positions as needed to fill business needs and cover shifts for other employees

· Follow all COVID-19 protocols as directed by management and local ordinances including wearing of masks and gloves at all time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
