Whether it's stocking our e-commerce bookstore, filling the shelves of libraries in Africa, or running a free bookstore in Chicago, our goal is to make a positive impact and change lives by promoting equitable access to books.

We are currently seeking a dependable, hardworking, and self-motivated individual to join our team as a full-time warehouse associate at our Skokie warehouse and book donation center. This role is pivotal to our operation, involving the processing of book donations, sorting, scanning, and preparing books for their new homes. Beyond handling books, the position entails a variety of warehouse tasks including inventory management, moving pallets with a pallet jack, and general upkeep. While a passion for reading and books is a plus, what we value most is a team player who is a problem solver, focused, and capable of physical endurance to keep up with our fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate should be able to lift up to 50lb boxes continuously and move 1-ton pallets with a manual pallet jack. Computer literacy, energy, responsibility, and a high capacity for physical work are essential. This position operates on the first shift, 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday, and we are eager to fill it as soon as possible for long-term employment.
