Summary
Responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties, including receiving, unloading and loading trucks, fulfilling purchase orders, and inventory replenishment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or using pallet jacks, power jacks, forklifts or other equipment.
- Match PO worksheet and BOL counts against physical product. Notate discrepancies
- Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
- Analyze data to anticipate future needs
- Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality
- Identify damage, loss, or surplus of goods and materials stored in the warehouse.
- Stock products on shelves.
- Check in merchandise and affix labels.
- Move materials off racks and package for shipment.
- Palletizing orders for LTL shipments
- Follow all safety codes.
- Perform facility & equipment maintenance.
- Carry out tasks as assigned by the warehouse supervisor / manager.
- Demonstrates excellent job performance in productivity, quality, safety, and attendance.
- Familiar with domestic and international freight guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills- able to coach/ train and assist team members.
Knowledge, Skill and Ability
- Proven work experience as a Receiver, Stock Controller, Inventory Specialist, or similar role.
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
- Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP)
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
- Experience using RF scanners.
- Familiarity with LTL carrier and 3rd party broker processes.
- 3-5 years of experience in warehouse distribution
- Has good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work with and get along with people of diverse backgrounds and expectations
- Must be able to work autonomously and with a minimum supervision
- Must be able to lift maximum 50 pounds
- Must be able to repetitively pickup, move, and stack packages up to 30 pounds
- Must be physically mobile and be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours a day
- Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to details
- Certified Forklift Driver (stand up and sit down)
