Our Belcamp, MD location, a provider of advanced texture systems to the food and beverage industry. The individual in this role will be responsible for a wide variety of duties by working in, and with, all departments including: Production, Maintenance, QC, etc. Learning the process, including operation procedures on process equipment, will be the initial focus. Our goal here is to maintain a safe environment for our team and products. All personnel must comply with company policies, procedures, and all required regulatory compliance: OSHA/FDA/BRC/DEP.
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the shipping and receiving of all raw materials, finished goods, sample material, equipment, parts, and packages for the company in accordance with established procedures. This position also ensures the proper storage, organization, and handling of all inventory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Operates and maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area following company policies and procedures including GMPs; ensures the security of exterior warehouse doors. Follows all company safety rules in performing job duties.
- Prepares and ships all company shipments following company procedures. Prepares product for shipping as per shipping documents; verifies the accuracy of orders and reports any discrepancies to supervisor and/or Materials dept. Schedules carrier pick-ups.
- Receives all company shipments following company procedures. Carries out inspections of trucks and shipments; reports failing inspections or damaged materials to supervisor. Verifies receivables against bills of lading; labels all incoming skids with required information as needed and takes samples of incoming product.
- Completes and forwards all internal and external shipping and receiving documents.
- Works collaboratively with other departments such as Production/Inventory Control to ensure timely and accurate delivery and receipt of goods.
- Ensures drivers follow all company policies and procedures, including safety rules and PPE requirements.
- Assists in warehouse coordination, pallet count, and inventory cycle count including the completion of all necessary paperwork. Leads and participates in physical inventories as required.
- Helps maintain the inventory ERP system including checking discrepancies on an as needed basis. Investigates and performs corrective action on issues that regard inventory, warehouse and sample room.
- Packs and ships all samples following company procedures; documents all shipping information as required.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment such as forklifts.
- Provides support to other departments in such areas as set up, storing processed materials, repacking, and relabeling.
- Maintains accurate documentation as related to various company procedures and guidelines such as Quality Management System compliance and other regulatory standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A
SALARY: $22/ hr.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with two or more
years of experience preferred. Must have experience in high volume data entry in an automated inventory management system.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and
memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and to effectively communicate
information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished
in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several
concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Must be able to operate manual handtrucks. Ability to operate computer equipment and work without close supervision. Must have the capability to independently process map and improve warehouse operations.
