Job Description
A warehouse picker/assembler is responsible for selecting and preparing items for shipment in a clean, air controlled warehouse.
This job description includes:
1. Order Fulfillment: Picking items from designated locations in the warehouse based on customer orders and ensuring accuracy in all items selected.
2. Inventory Management: Support supervisor in keeping track of stock levels, updating inventory with cycle counts and ensure overall inventory processes are strictly followed.
3. Packing: Properly packaging items for shipment, ensuring they are secure and protected during transit to mitigate damages.
4. Assembler: Placing labels on components, placing finished goods into unit cartons, pack out small samples into bags, assembling kits and other special projects as business needs.
4. Quality Control: Inspecting items for damage, defects, or discrepancies and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
5. Equipment Operation: Using warehouse equipment such as a pallet jack safely and efficiently. We will train if needed.
6. Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents.
7. Teamwork: Collaborating with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
8. Time Management: Efficiently managing the picking process along with other core roles to meet productivity and order fulfillment goals.
9. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of items picked, packed, and shipped for tracking and reporting purposes.
10. Physical Requirements: Being able to lift and carry heavy objects some of the time, stand or sit for extended periods, have endurance to complete assigned daily tasks.
Warehouse pickers play a crucial role in the supply chain by ensuring that products are accurately selected and prepared for timely delivery to customers.
This position is a part time position, must have availability to work M-F with weekends and major holidays off.
