ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
PRODUCT HANDLING
- Use proper product handling techniques to ensure products are not damaged while handling
- Ensure all product rotation practices are followed to ensure the oldest products are selected first
- Follow proper product stacking and placement techniques and places product in the appropriate locations upon receipt
- Ensures that all products are stored per supplier equity agreements
ACCURACY
- Properly identify, count and record all product received via transports or internal transfers
- Load trucks as requested with the correct orders and in the proper sequence including internal transfers
- Correctly mark and separate old, damaged and quality control beer with identifying information
SPEED and EFFICIENCY
- Utilize time management and follow all company policies and procedures to ensure all product are unloaded and received in a timely manner
- Work to minimize product handling and wasted time by decreasing the number of touches and distances traveled
SAFETY
- Verify all transport and bulk delivery truck wheels are chocked before loading and unloading.
- Promptly inform the Warehouse Manager of any issue that may require attention or action including safety risks, security problems, personnel issues, etc.
- Work safely and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
APPEARANCE
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure the overall cleanliness of the warehouse and assigned equipment thru daily cleaning task and other projects as assigned
- Maintain a professional appearance through the use of proper grooming and by wearing clean assigned uniform clothing
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) and one to three months related experience and/or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Previous warehouse experience (preferred)
Commercial Drivers License - Class A (preferred)
Forklift experience (preferred)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently exposed to extreme cold and heat and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and humid conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is at risk if electrical shock.
